About Wild Coast Jikeleza Festival
Described as the best family-fun festival in the Eastern Cape, the Wild Coast Jikeleza Festival takes place annually in August in the fabulous grounds of the Inkwenkezi Private Game Reserve, just 30km outside East London.
Where else can you touch an elephant and go on a mini-game drive while enjoying loads of entertainment, a beer garden, food village and plenty of quality craft and boutique stalls out in the country? Parents be rest assured, your kiddies will be kept very busy with a jumping castle, puppet shows, face painting and a magic show. Dads can enjoy the rugby off a big screen, and moms can admire the tea garden and fashion show.
Along with all of that, you can enjoy the Wild Coast Jikeleza Ski-Boat Angling Challenge, or for the sporting folk, a 25km and 50km 'Dirty & Wild' mountain bike marathon and the annual Rhino Run, a 5km / 15km fun run, so keep your eyes peeled for game sightings along the route.
