Welcome to Oudebosch Country Café and Protea Farm Tours – an authentic Eastern Cape experience. Our farm stall is located at the crossroads of the Tsitsikamma and Langkloof regions introducing visitors the magnificent Tsitsikamma Mountains, green pastures of the surrounding dairy farms and a short distance from the coastal village of Eersterivier.

Take in the scenery, breathe the fresh Tsitsikamma air while enjoying our signature “roosterbrood” and coffee or browsing our extensive gift shop.

FARMSTALL

The roadside farm stall or “padstal” is a staple of the South African road trip and Oudebosch Country Café brings you all the delicious warmth and hospitality of a typical farm stall coupled with familiar South African favourites: roosterbrood (bread cooked over a fire), jams, preserves and local produce.

Partially inspired by the nearby, Regyne Protea Farm, our gift shop is a treasure trove to products featuring the South African National Flower, the King Protea & its smaller cousins. The farm stall gift shop also features locally produced wines, preserves, jewellery and embroidered products from the local Eersterivier community – the perfect place to stock up for the rest of your trip or for mementoes of a memorable Tsitsikamma holiday.

Our coffee shop, beer garden and restaurant are designed for having a “kuier” (visit). A place to sit back, breathe in the fresh air, sample our menu of rooserbrood, cakes, salad, sandwiches and more while the children play in the garden. You’ll certainly meet Tsitsikamma locals and we recommend taking the time to talk to them about life in the area – your hosts, Dewald & Penny Niemann are on hand to share their anecdotes of life nestled up next to the mountains.

Look for the only Information sign on the N2 and follow the signs. Just 500 metres of the N2. Kareedouw/ Eersterivier off-ramp. Very easy to find. Open 7 days a week from 7AM to 6PM. Also visit our facebook page at Oudebosch Country Café.
