A family getaway in the Eastern Cape, Blanco has been running for close on 100 years and still by the same family. Tucked away at the foot of the Winterberg mountains, it’s one of the Eastern Cape’s best-kept secrets.

From Port Elizabeth:
From Port Elizabeth, travel North on the N2 and then take the R32 to Cookhouse. At Cookhouse continue through to Craddock. Approximately 1 km before Craddock, take the Queenstown/Tarkastad turnoff. At Tarkastad, take the Adelaide/Bedford Road. Blanco is 14 kilometres from Tarka. After having travelled approximately 10km on the Adelaide/Bedford road, you will come to a gate. Go through the gate. If need be open gate using the button. Turn immediately right, follow the dirt road for approximately 3 km keeping left and you will reach the Guest Farm.
From East London:
From East London, travel North on the N6 to Queenstown. At Queenstown, take the R61 to Tarkastad. At Tarkastad, take the Adelaide/Bedford Road and follow the Blanco signs. Blanco is 14 km from Tarka. After having travelled approximately 10km on the Adelaide/Bedford road, you will come to a gate. Go through the gate. If need be open gate using the button. Turn immediately right, follow the dirt road for approximately 3 km keeping left and you will reach the Guest Farm.
From Cape Town:
From Cape Town, travel on the N1 to Beaufort West. At Beaufort West continue along the R61 to Aberdeen. At Aberdeen, take the R57 to Graaff-Reinet. At Graaff-Reinet, continue along the R57 for 49 Km and then turn right onto the R61towards Craddock. At craddock, take the R61 to Tarkastad. At Tarkastad, take the Adelaide/Bedford Road and follow the Blanco signs. Blanco is 14 kilometres from Tarka. After having travelled approximately 10km on the Adelaide/Bedford road, you will come to a gate. Go through the gate. If need be open gate using the button. Turn immediately right, follow the dirt road for approximately 3 km keeping left and you will reach the Guest Farm.
From Johannesburg:
From Johannesburg, take the N1 to Bloemfontein. At Bloemfontein, take N6 to Aliwal North and then through to Queenstown. At Queenstown, take the R61 to Tarkastad. At Tarkastad, take the Adelaide/Bedford Road and follow the Blanco signs. Blanco is 14 kilometres from Tarka. After having travelled approximately 10km on the Adelaide/Bedford road, you will come to a gate. Go through the gate. If need be open gate using the button. Turn immediately right, follow the dirt road for approximately 3 km keeping left and you will reach the Guest Farm.
