About Allandale Game Farm
ALLAN and GAIL STEPHEN warmly welcome you to their gracious and comfortable Game Farm. Situated on the outskirts of Jansenville, Eastern Cape. This Game Farm is 3 hours’ drive from Port Elizabeth and 2 1/2hours drive from the Addo Elephant National Park.
The tranquil setting of the farm, on the Ouberg Mountain Range is unique and peaceful, surrounded by vast views of mountain ranges up to Lake Darlington Dam which can be explored. The area has abundant bird life, and is a malaria free area and is home to various types of wild animals, namely Eland, Zebra, Impala, Kudu, Gemsbok, Wildebeest, porcupine, jackal, aardvark and duiker.
ALLANDALE GAME FARM accommodation consists of: three chalets tastefully decorated that sleep 2 people each. It is comfortably furnished and all meals are provided. Allandale Game Lodge is easily accessible by 4 x 4 vehicles and Hi-rise vehicles. Linen and towels are supplied and there is mobile phone reception. These are non-smoking units.
The lodge has a veranda to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the valley in the evenings around a log fire whilst enjoying the sunset and a homemade meal.
ALLANDALE GAME FARM (SELF-CATERING) consists of two bedrooms tastefully decorated that sleep 2 people each. It has a fully self-contained kitchen plus an outdoors braai area. There is no TV and there is mobile phone reception.
Allandale Game Farm offers the following:
- 4 wheeler quad bike rides to over 16 years of age. Children permitted accompanied by adult.
- 4 x 4 drives in own 4 x 4 vehicle or a guided drive in farm 4 x 4
- Walks in the wild

DIRECTIONS FROM PORT ELIZABETH TO ALLANDALE GAME FARM VIZ THE WATERFORD ROAD
Travel the R75 road towards Jansenville.
+- 20 km’s from Jansenville take the right turning onto the R400 – Riebeeck East/Waterford Road. Continue on this gravel road passing Waterford on your left, going over the Sundays River.
Just passed this bridge turn left onto the Pearston Road. Continue on this gravel road passing W.Curry Farm.
A distance from this you will find a turning to your left. Take this road and continue passing Kobus Nel. Continue until you see a sign for Allandale on your right hand side. There is a gate there.
Take this road going through five farm gates. You then reach the Allandale Gate.
Continue up this gravel road passing the staff house on left hand side, the Ruins on left hand side.
Carry straight up the gravel road passing the self-catering until on right hand side.
Continue up the hill to the lodge and reception.
The distance in time from the R75 turning to the first gate is +-30 minutes, and from the first gate to the lodge is 15 minutes.
DIRECTIONS TO ALLANDALE GAME FARM FROM PORT ELIZABETH VIZ THE LOOTSKLOOF ROAD
17 KM’S FROM Jansenville turn right onto the Lootskloof Road. Travel 3 to 5 km’s – the road will fork – keep left. Travel another 6 km’s on the gravel road which then forks again at the big green Jojo water tank – keep right.
Continue on this gravel road and you drive through 5 cattle grids. Just after the fifth one (+- 10 km’s) you come to a sign for Allandale on your left hand side.
There is a gate there. Take this road going through five farm gates. You then come to Allandale Gate.
Continue up this gravel road passing the staff house on left hand side, the “Ruins” on left hand side.
Carry straight up the gravel road passing the self-catering unit on right hand side.
Continue up the hill to the lodge and reception.
The distance in time from the R75 turning to the first gate is +- 30 minutes, and from the first gate to the lodge is 15 minutes.
