About Cape St Francis Beach Break
Arguably the most perfect beach within 150 km of Port Elizabeth is found Cape St Francis. The beach is long, wide and, in every aspect, safe. It attracts surfers from all over the world and yet has no overcrowding! The best place from which to enjoy this beach is one of the villas that lie just behind the sand dunes.
Beach break is the name used to market the five houses located on one of the most beautiful beaches in the country, but still within the grounds of the of the Cape St Francis Resort. The houses are big, comfortable, and homely. To top it all they are also serviced – that means you do not need to worry about cleaning the house on arrival and departure as do owners of holiday houses.
A recent guest recently remarked that “ Although the weather forecast predicted terrible weather we enjoyed two days of sunshine and leisure. When not on the beach we were in the pool and all our meals were enjoyed alfresco”
All four of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms that are spacious and modern. The two bedrooms facing the beach are huge and one can lie in bed and watch the waves break or, after dark, enjoy the romantic mood created by the flickering of the lighthouse at the point.
The kitchen is well-stocked with cutlery, crockery and a host of modern appliances. The cupboards are big, the counters are granite. The lounge has two huge and very comfortable couches for an easy afternoon nap.
Activities in and around the resort include:
Hiking and walking
Golf
Surfing - can do surf lessons and hire wetsuits and surfboards
Fishing
Whale and dolphin watching
Birding
Canal cruises
Sea and river kayaking
River cruises
Cultural excursions
